Dr Andrew Coward is an experienced General Practitioner and menopause specialist. With decades of clinical practice, he brings a deep understanding of women’s health and is dedicated to providing evidence-based advice to support women through the perimenopause and menopause.
Dr Andrew holds certifications in the Management of the Menopause from the British Menopause Society. He is a strong advocate for empowering women with accurate, up-to-date information so they can make informed decisions about their healthcare.
From 1989 to 2022, he served as Senior Partner at Kings Norton Surgery, where he cultivated interests in medical education, leadership, and writing.

Between 2013 and 2018 Dr Andrew chaired Birmingham South Central Clinical Commissioning Group, pioneering a new Children and Adolescent Mental Health Service and running Birmingham’s Obesity strategy and championing the merger between Birmingham Children’s and Women’s Hospital. The CCG won the Investor’s in people gold award for outstanding staff wellbeing.
He delivers work based education packages alongside an HR specialist focussing in on both women’s and men’s health and wellbeing, menopause and testosterone deficiency.
In addition to his clinical and educational work, Dr Andrew leads the charity WE:ARE, which supports women in recovering from the trauma of domestic violence. He is deeply committed to fostering a more compassionate world that champions the wellbeing of women and children.
