Advice about your home test kit
Please make sure you take time to read all the guidance below to ensure your tests arrive safely to our labs.
What’s in the box?
Depending on what tests you have ordered will depend how many lab boxes (these are the boxes labelled UN3373) you received and what is in them.
Each box will also have one these cards inside which has been marked with the serial number of the test tube. Please make sure you fill this in and return in the right lab box with the corresponding sample
Please do not mix blood sample kits with stool sample kits. The tubes are very different and contain different chemical agents
Make sure you send your test on the same day that you take the sample. And only take samples Monday to Thursday so that there are no delays in the post. Delays in reaching the lab could make you sample void.
Blood tests

Our biggest tip: be patient, it can take some time to collect enough blood. And you must fill as many tubes as are provided in the kit to the top line (some tests require one tube; some require two or even three).
Stool (biome) test
This test is much more straight forward to run and the best part is once complete, the stool collection device can be detached from the toilet seat and flushed away.
Just make sure you read the instructions provided fully before starting.
What do I return?
Follow the instructions on how to secure your tube and how to package it. Then place it inside the lab box (UN3373 box) along with the Medstars card, and the lab box into the prepaid plastic envelope. Get it into the post that day, and you’re done. Everything else can be thrown away.
Now what?
We will be in touch as soon as your results are ready. Bloods can take up to one week and stool up to two weeks.
